What is a cavity?<\/h2>\n

It is a multifactorial infectious disease that can affect all teeth regardless of age. It causes demineralisation of the enamel and dentine, leading to permanent damage that can manifest as holes or black spots on the surface of the teeth.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It starts as a small lesion with the appearance of a white spot, which usually goes unnoticed. However, it can rapidly evolve into a cavitated lesion, extending into deeper layers of the tooth and causing pain.<\/p>\n
